About Sharon
Sharon oversees all children’s programming including Sunday School, Children’s Church, and Vacation Bible School. She is passionate about creating a fun, safe, and meaningful environment where kids can encounter Jesus and build a foundation of faith.
Educational Background
Sharon earned her degree in Christian Education from Biola University, where she developed a deep understanding of age-appropriate teaching methods and child spiritual development. She later completed a Child Development Certificate at Sacramento State, further equipping her to serve the youngest members of our church family.
Ministry Approach
Sharon believes every child is created with purpose and that the early years are the most formative for faith development. Her curriculum choices emphasize hands-on learning, storytelling, music, and creative play — all grounded in biblical truth. She works closely with parents to extend the learning beyond Sunday morning into the home.
Programs & Impact
Under Sharon’s leadership, our Children’s Ministry has grown to serve over 60 children weekly. She coordinates a team of 25+ trained volunteers and has developed safety protocols, background check procedures, and a comprehensive curriculum plan that walks children through the Bible over a three-year cycle. The annual VBS event draws over 150 children from the church and surrounding community.
