What do you do when someone wrongs you? Our first instinct is to get even - but Scripture calls us to something far harder, and far better.

In 1 Peter 3:8-12, the apostle lays out a vision for Christian community built on unity, compassion, humility, and love - then pushes it further: don’t repay evil with evil, or insult with insult, but respond with blessing. Drawing from Psalm 34, Peter reminds us that a life marked by peace, a guarded tongue, and turning from evil isn’t just good advice - it’s the pathway to the Lord’s attentive care and answered prayer. This message explores what it looks like to live counter-culturally in our relationships, especially when we’re hurt, and why blessing others is both a command and a promise.
